Today Was...

Disappointing from a professional, emotional, verbal and mental standpoint. Not for me but for a colleague. All I can do is pray for a better tomorrow ,and the words I left them with will help them move forward in a more productive way.  Managing people has it's ups and downs...today was a down. There is a true disconnect between  our youth and our more seasoned generation. In my staff meetings I continually drive home the point of "making a positive impact" on the lives of our young people, It is imperative to not just their future but ours.

I hate having to feel torn about disciplining my staff, because I know that some days will be good and some days will be bad...today was really, really bad. Today was a misstep and I am just thankful that I did not have to let them go. Please Lord, allow them to leave their stress and troubles at home and do their best for our kids.

Hey Jackie! I hope your tomorrow is better. I want you to know that I still find you to be very attractive. I know its random but I wanted you to know.

Awwwwww thanks so much....for the encouragement and the compliment. Random is good sometimes...and with the day I had...the break in monotony.

Wish I had an easy button to press to make your day better. Sorry things were so disappointing. I'm gonna say a quick prayer for you. When are you coming back up, sorry I missed you.

Thanks, I had to do the teaching...I hope they learned D

..but the lesson may have been for you in how to deal with that situation...and how others see you handle stress or that situation.

I didn't think about it like that, I was so focused on how to resolve the issue and making sure I did things in decency and order.

your students are watching you for more than what you teach from the lesson plan.... :)

Yeah, it made my heart smile when they started clapping and saying...Yay Ms. Jackie is here. I spoke to them about pushing past the negative. I even got emotional in front of them...you know I love the kids...I have to always advocate for them.

I manage them...along with about two hundred others. I'm slowly moving toward teaching...but I seem to find myself in advocacy environments and work placement. I don't mind because my mission statement and proposal will be geared toward that...starting to think it's my calling...but ultimately I go where God tells me to go.

‎....and i think that is my ultimate point...God is happy...you are developing yourself to be well rounded in whatever area this will take you. keep passing the tests...for they make you stronger and show others God through you.

Thanks Sis, I so needed this tonight. I always say have your way with me Lord, use me, I want you to have the glory. I feel and see the change and yes being well rounded is the ultimate goal. LOVE YOU!

Oh and I missed Robbie's funeral...due to work. I saw the picks, all the divas looked good, i miss sharing the runway with you guys. I am still in shock, she was amazing. I remember when we stayed up all night in Jersey before that big runway show doing her hair. Good times.
