Family Vacation!

Nothing like a much needed family vacation where the beach is secluded and not commercial. I can't wait to go back. My guys and I walked onto the beach at midnight. Talk about an amazing sight with no other people around, AMAZING!! We had so much fun!

Let's Face It!!

Hosted my first beauty talk this past weekend. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. The ladies asked tons of questions and we laughed the whole afternoon. I can't wait to host another one!

Move on!!

 Your insecurity about your life in general is not my issue to attend to,  however the way in which you project your insecurities on me is.  You've had many years to rectify your standing with me. I'm over it,  been over it.  I need you to understand how over it I've been,  now you should be too.   Please move on.  If you can't move on then you need to try to fix it,  can't promise you that you'll ever be able to fix it with me ,but you definitely need to fix it with yourself.

I think his lady should be concerned as to why he's still reaching. It's a shame that he really believes I spend any time thinking of him, perhaps that's why he thinks I care. Sigh!

When I'm done, I'm done. It doesn't take me long to figure someone out. Let someone else expound that energy or ride a roller coaster of dysfunction. I'm not saying people can't change, but  if I don't see  any evidence of it, why waste time. You'll always be the devil in my book.

You protect us, cover us, provide for us in ways I was never accustomed to. It's strange for me, I've been on my own taking care of me and mine for for so long. You provide us with family. Thank you.

You reaffirm me as a mother, and show me the importance of real men and the role they play in the world and especially to children.

He may not be yours biologically but the way you two are with each other, an outsider wouldn't know.

The kid looks up to you, tries his best to wait up for you at night, tries to walk like you, knows you'll reprimand him with love when he's out of line, and still want to play you in video games right after.

I snuck this picture of you two when I was preparing dinner. You were helping him with his homework as usual. You are so gentle and patient with him. He loves you, and because of your help he's improved so much in school and life.

Insecurities

Insecurities will kill a relationship, hence why he's not with you. You thought it wouldn't be me, but I knew it'd never be you lol. Weak woman.

Claim It!! I Did!

Received an email that could turn things upside down in a good way. Not three hours later I got a call I had been waiting for (totally unrelated to the email.) 

I have deliberately asking for certain things and one by one they've been coming to fruition. Next weekend the kiddo and I will head north for a rare opportunity. Prayers up and good energy our way as we go boldly to or dreams. 

Father's Day Celebration!

I am thinking about hosting a brunch/lunch for the amazing men in my son's life as well as the community. I am so excited to bring this event to life. Stay tuned!

I'm On My Way!!!

 This was my best shoot by far and I am so blessed to have been able to work with an amazing team. I am thankful for every struggle, every slander against my character, my motherhood, my femininity, my faith, my education that was hurled at me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!


The God I serve is greater than any malicious thing you thought or said about me and people hate it when you stand up for yourself. I admit it hurt in the beginning. I was confused and didn't understand the levels of pain being projected onto my life. I came to learn that sometimes people are ignorant in their thought process be it by their own doing, or the manipulation of others.

I don't excuse the misguided behavior, but I understand it a little better now so I can forgive it, and always expose it.  Some people can't think for themselves. I will however expose it so that it can be a teaching lesson for others and a reminder to myself.

I am beautiful, confident, smart, loving, generous and determined to do anything I put my heart and mind to.

I am not a hard nose about gender roles but ladies let's be real, If you can't cook I hope you have magical powers in another department. Word on the street is she can't cook, SMH.
