Solfe'ge

So to my delight and surprise my baby is being taught Solfège in music class....and by an Ellington Alumni at that!! I could tell she was just as interested in me as I was of her. I am really happy she is teaching the basics. I know now that everything I teach him at home and in the Music Dept. are now being reinforced on a regular basis.

Exposing your children to music or any of the arts is one of the best gifts next to God you can give them. I am biased because I am a musician. Next to God, the arts saved my life. It was my safe space, it was pure, organic, free and all mine. I am so excited for his growth and I love exposing him to all the neat stuff. Our new instrument is guitar, getting it tuned this week.
