So my grandfather was a monumental influence in Guyana's Government.A phenomenal political leader and stanch advocate for his people and his country. I'm the only woman who carries his grey patch of hair... Thanks Grand Daddy, I'm trying to be as fly and awesome like you. Starting to fall in love with my natural nappy hair.

The Other Side Of The Coin

So I really wanted to go to summer school , but was not eligible . Because I am watching the amount of money I am using for student loans, I don't want to incur more debt than I can handle. I realize I need to slow down and enjoy the summer. Being a mom, taking seven classes, working and gigging can make me a little tired at times, and I've been told by several loved ones to just relax. So relax I will and get ready to teach, and encourage my summer babies. Still smiling, blessed, cute as a button, and hopeful.

Oh and look at my flowers.....awwwwwwwww!!!

Yay, good times last night. The hotel was BEAUTIFUL, the crowd was great and the band was so loving and welcoming with me. I even got to eat my favorite, chocolate covered strawberries!!! I've been asked to sing again at a funeral, going to squeeze in a nap before though. I posted my audition vid on Facebook, enjoy!

Let's Go Make Some Music!

Just got asked to sit in with a well known band tonight. Since the musical, calls are rolling in. I'm so thankful!! I've always told people to be obedient to God and the gifts he has given us. I'm taking my own advice and giving to others. Going to finish cleaning an then writing out a set list and practicing it with my lil one....yes he sings, plays and acts....runs in our family.
